J’onn Jonzz and Batman appear in Smallville Season 11′s EFFIGY in its debut chapter. And Superman gave us Lex Luthor and the appearance of the Justice League. It was a Lois-less and Clark-less week in the Superman stories.

Lots of stuff going on this week within the panels and behind the scenes.  The new 52 still remains a war zone on all fronts which is getting tiresome.  The fauxmance bullship is destructive not only to icons but to fanbases as well.

A beacon of hope on the very first page of Superman #14 though.  Which we will hold on tightly to through these dark and dreary embattled months ahead.

Sunday, November 18th at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will discuss the 22nd digital of Smallville Season 11.  The final chapters of DETECTIVE will soon arrive.  You can enjoy the print compilation the first Wednesday in December.  The #6 (October) print issue increased in sales orders numbers over September.  Bryan Q. Miller‘s exciting story is really heating up.

We can hardly wait to read these new pages.  Fire up your comic apps on Friday, November 16th for the anticipation of downloading this fantastic book.

The Little Comic That Could Is Doing It!!!

And now for something completely different …

G2Factor is offering to be your first line of defense with what DC Comics is doing with Superman in the new 52.

DC seems to be determined to keep new 52 Superman edgy and alien without relating to humans, particularly Lois Lane.  Clark has strong feelings for Lois but thinks she is unattainable and his love seems unrequited.  This from a guy who supposedly had a five year relationship with Ms. Lane before the start of Superman #1.  Now after the kiss in JL12, Wonder Woman is smitten and will consult with Eros about her feelings for the Man of Steel.  Another kiss cover will be displayed in February.

Superman of the new 52 doesn’t seem to have any responsibility where his feelings are concerned.  Is this a good depiction of the Man of Steel?

Despite the fact that the 75th anniversary is fast approaching, it appears as though Lois Lane will not be celebrating along with Clark/Superman.  If you find this a despicable fate, then allow us to do the dirty work for you.

Matt Idelson said he wanted fans to pine for Clark and Lois so intensely that DC will hear us loud and clear and allow the characters to be together.   The only way to make that voice known is contacting DC Comics with your respectful views and most importantly … DON’T BUY THE BOOKS.   This is where G2Factor comes in.  We will monitor the books for you.  You can PINE WITHOUT PAYING.  We’ll let you know if DC is finally getting a clue about the absence of Lois in Superman’s romantic life holding him back from being the hero generations have loved for 75 years.

Save your money.  Don’t have Superman, Action, Justice League on your pull lists.  G2Factor will check all books Superman and/or Lois are in and let you know how things are going.  You can listen to the shows as we do the research.  You can decide to buy or not buy at that time.  Don’t put hope in the dangling carrot.

In the meantime, we’ll continue reviewing and enjoying Smallville Season 11 and Superman Family Adventures.  These are the true Superman!!!  Smallville Season 11′s Superman is very much the Man of Steel.  He has restraint and is emotionally balanced.  He follows his heart.  He’s exciting to read.  And he’s younger than the new 52 Superman.

SUNDAY, October 21st, 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will sing the praises of Smallville Season 11 #20.  Our only regret, the cliffhanger showed up too soon.  Are you buying this digital-first comic book?  If not, why not?  It’s loads of fun, action, emotion and suspense.  It’s got the GD Batman!!!  And a badass Lois.  As well as THE BEST SUPERMAN IN THE DCU.

Other topics for this week:  Justice League #13 including the JLA preview backup story, the Superman #13 preview pages that were in Supergirl #13, new behind the scenes of the tenth season of Smallville’s ICARUS (thanks to Chris & A), and other Superman news.

While reading Wonder Woman #13 (Path of War), a new character appears in the Antarctic calling himself “First Born”.  Is there a connection to the Edgar Rice Burrough’s Barsoom (John Carter/Mars) series?   The Greek god, Ares, was named Mars in Rome.  Ares is the God of War and was prominent in Wonder Woman #0.  Superman is not mentioned in this series (which is fine with us) despite the bullship in Justice League affecting the Superman series (which is not so fine with us).
