Speaking of that huge event in June, fans can get preview tickets at some Walmarts on May 18th at 8 am for a show on June 13th. Plus all kinds of merchandise regarding Superman’s appearance on the silver screen.
For those of you not keeping score, last week we saw the appearance of not one, but two kisses between Clark/Superman and Lois Lane in Superman 20 and Superman Family Adventures #12 (the final issue).
What did this week bring for the classic romance? Man of Steel seems to be a symbol of hope for many reasons.

Sunday, November 25th 5pmET/4pmCT G2Factor will discuss Red Hood & the Outlaws #14, Justice League #14, Supergirl #14 and Smallville Season 11 #23. Superman appearances in every single one of them.
There was a price discrepancy on the dccomics app on Friday for Smallville Season 11 #23. Comixology attributed it to a clerical error. Check your receipts to see what you were charged. Smallville Season 11 is still 99 cents. If you were charged something else, contact Comixology (not dccomics) and they’ll put it right. They are fantastic to work with.
It doesn’t look as if Clark and Lois fans are going to get a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, or Happy Valentine’s Day from the new 52. Too busy pushing the fauxmance at us. And the 75th anniversary for Clark/Lois/Superman is fast approaching. Yea, we’re worried. It’s currently standard operating procedure to kick Clark/Superman and Lois fans in the teeth in the new 52.
If you were one of the people who read a lot of the #1s last September (2011) then you might want to review Justice League Dark #1. Xanadu is scanning the future and there are panels involving Cyborg, Superman and Wonder Woman in a battle with Enchantress. This appears to be still in our reading future (possibly as a precursor to the Trinity War). It does show the bullship was planned from the beginning.
I think it’s time to get out the puke buckets again. BTW they still make those steel washtubs, you can get them at Home Depot in case buckets aren’t big enough.
SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 will continue to be our savior. And SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES, our joy.
A glimmer of hope in Supergirl 14 (see above convo) that is to be continued in Superman #14. But then we go into crossover hell with H’El and after that Helspont (confirmed in RH&TO).
Some good Clois tweets from writers who are writing future Superman books. We’ll inform you of those.
Batman has been terrific in SMALLVILLE SEASON 11′s DETECTIVE and proved he’s the GD Batman in Justice League #14. Do you think he’d appreciate a hug from us?
Join us on Sunday for our perspectives and opinions. Live chat and streaming during the show. Downloads on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.
Only 3 weeks before we get the trailer for Man of Steel film. That would be where Superman and Lois Lane share a kiss. CAN’T WAIT!!!
Sunday, November 4th at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will discuss Superman Family Adventures #6, Action Annual #1, and Superman: Earth One v2 plus some commentary on DC Comics promotional treatment of Lois Lane on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Superman mythos.
Chris has tweeted with Scott Snyder and Andy Diggle, new writers for Superman stories. She’ll be reporting on those convos.
In case, DC Comics has forgotten the importance of Lois Lane in the narrative of the Superman mythos, we’ll submit these visual aides to assist them with remembering their history:
From Action #1, 1938, the book that started it all. This is what fans will be celebrating this Spring, hopefully.
Lois Lane has to defend herself from a notorious mobster, since her date, Clark Kent, has refused to be chivalrous (because he has another identity). In this panel, we can see Lois’ fearless Chutzpah against evil and injustice. The dual identity is evident. Clark Kent has to warn her from harm, but Superman admires her spirit and assertiveness.
From the new 52, Action #0, before he even meets Lois Lane, Clark Kent is enamored of the spirit and fearlessness in her journalism. She is the one person he would love to meet in the big city of Metropolis. We later learn that Lois Lane has loved Clark Kent’s blog before he came looking for work at the Daily Star. He will soon introduce the city to the superhero that Lois Lane will name, Superman.
Chris suggested we post some positive nuggets for folks in regards to new 52 Superman:
“… without Lois in his life, that human representation is something he had to grow towards, and that the absence of Lois in his romantic life held him back. – Matt Idelson, Ask Matt, Supermanhomepage, August, 2012.
Hope to see you on Sunday. Live chat room and streaming during the show. Downloads on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.
DON’T FORGET TO GET YOUR SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 PRINT ISSUE ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH
SUNDAY, October 21st, 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will sing the praises of Smallville Season 11 #20. Our only regret, the cliffhanger showed up too soon. Are you buying this digital-first comic book? If not, why not? It’s loads of fun, action, emotion and suspense. It’s got the GD Batman!!! And a badass Lois. As well as THE BEST SUPERMAN IN THE DCU.
Other topics for this week: Justice League #13 including the JLA preview backup story, the Superman #13 preview pages that were in Supergirl #13, new behind the scenes of the tenth season of Smallville’s ICARUS (thanks to Chris & A), and other Superman news.
While reading Wonder Woman #13 (Path of War), a new character appears in the Antarctic calling himself “First Born”. Is there a connection to the Edgar Rice Burrough’s Barsoom (John Carter/Mars) series? The Greek god, Ares, was named Mars in Rome. Ares is the God of War and was prominent in Wonder Woman #0. Superman is not mentioned in this series (which is fine with us) despite the bullship in Justice League affecting the Superman series (which is not so fine with us).
Tasha posted an article on Multipleverses’ Superman Fans for Lois Lane blog about Action #9.
Holli has Superman related op-ed pieces on her blog, Baudyhallee Blog of the Moment, found here.
Everyone will enjoy Kimmie’s and Chris’ reactions to the latest Smallville Season 11 installment.
Hope you’re joining us weekly as we explore the many worlds of Superman. Live streaming and chat room available during the show. Downloads on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.
Sunday, October 14th at 5pmEDT/4pmCDT, G2Factor will discuss the latest installment of SMALLVILLE SEASON 11, #19 of DETECTIVE.
Clark and Batman are trying to protect Joe Chill while fighting Prankster and Mr. Freeze. Will we see Lois, Lex, and Otis? Will Steph!Babs help save the day? Can’t wait for my weekly fix of the REAL Superman in SMALLVILLE SEASON 11.
Also, we have TONS of New 52 news about Superman in his various storylines and books. More news from NYCC such as Scott Snyder and Jim Lee are going to be involved with a yet-to-be-titled new Superman book. Not sure why the secrecy.
Andy Diggle and Tony Daniels will be taking over Action Comics with #18 (March). And will there be a new 52 version of A death of Superman?
Join us on talkshoe to hear the discussion. Live chatroom and streaming during show. Downloads available on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.
Sunday, September 16th, at 5:00pm EDT/4:00pm CDT, G2Factor will discuss Smallville Season 11 #16 featuring World’s Finest in it’s early days and Action #0 also showing us Superman’s initial introduction to Metropolis.
Also, Kimmie and Tasha experienced the Baltimore Comic Con last weekend. They will be giving us news from writers and artists about their books, art, and how they feel about Clark Kent/Lois Lane/Superman. Can’t wait to hear it all from our intrepid geek girls!!!
We’ll also discuss the Diamond comic book order stats for the month of August as well as if the ‘tricks of the trade’ of the 90s are still fruitful in these times.
Should be an interesting show! Hope you’ll join us.

G2FACTOR: BQM’s SVS8 HEX, ACTION #11 & DCaU NEWS
Sunday, July 8th at 5pmEDT/4pmCDT, G2Factor will discuss Bryan Q. Miller’s Smallville Season 8 HEX, Action #11, and the latest news from the DCaU. Some good, some worse.
Hope you all have picked up your Smallville Season 11 #3 print from your comic shop. Digitals were on hiatus this Friday. They will be back on July 13th, that’s right, Friday the 13th.
Bryan Q. Miller was to be on the Superman panel at San Diego Comic Con but now The Powers That Be have taken him off. Bryan will be signing autographs from 2 to 3pm on Saturday. Hope you’ll show your support for the BEST Superman book DC has to offer.
HEX: Lois is always Lois even when Chloe wishes she was her. Remember when Zatana and Oliver were blatantly flirting?
Action #11 actually has Superman saying Lois’ name and still has multiple time lines and introductions of even more Silver Age characters.
The new 52 is a universe where Superman ‘continuity’ must not exist. It’s okay for Batman and pretty much everyone else, but not the Man of Steel.
Action annual #1 news: Mixed.
Got an opinion about that? Then join us on Sunday for a very lively discussion.
G2FACTOR: SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 #8
On Friday, June 22nd, Smallville Season 11 digital #8 will be released. Have your apps and webpages ready. Will Clark meet with the military and General Lane in particular? We’re in the middle of Act 3 of the 4 act episode of GUARDIAN.
Chapter #7 topped Batman #10 for the #1 spot of Top Selling Digitals sometime on June 20th, print comic book day. On Thursday, June 21st, it was still going strong moving from 4th to 3rd in revenue sales. For a 99 cent price point competing against $3.99 print first digitals, that is amazing. Smallville Season 11 is The Little Comic That Could … and does. Can’t wait to see what #8 will achieve after its debut.
On Sunday, June 24th, G2Factor will discuss the latest issue by Bryan Q. Miller with art by Pere Perez. Lively talk will begin at 5pmEDT/4pmCDT with live chat and streaming. Downloads available after the show on iTunes and talkshoe.
For those of you who missed it, or didn’t want to listen to 4 hours of us talking. Here’s the nearly 2 hour exert of our May 13th Bryan Q. Miller interview. We covered all the bases from questions about Smallville the Series to Smallville Season 11 to Batgirl to doughnuts. See if you can find some clues about episode 2, DETECTIVE. We really appreciate Bryan’s sense of humor and cordiality. Thanks, Bryan!
So join us as we enjoy reading a truly great Superman comic book. Hope to see you there!
